Jazz-Fest, The City, Me & U

'Summer-Time' is here. Let's go somewhere. Its a chance to dress less, get outdoors, enjoy warm weather and in many cases, listen to Live music. Whether it be with close friends or with new faces, summertime is for 'Out-Door' living, loving, eating, drinking and enjoying an array of music festivals. From Reggae and R&B to Folk, Rock, Blues and Jazz, festivals have become a great way to experience new music, and see artists from around the world. While I've mingled and met new faces and attended my share of unique events and festivals around the globe, I've discovered Jazz and it's Festivals as a place of intriguing mystique. The attendees are usually artists themselves or art enthusiasts seeking to witness a plethora of scheduled performers and grand musicians throughout historic parks and other public spaces. These Jazz musicians and vocalists have come to represent, for most, a time in history known as the Avant-Garde. For this reason, curious minds travel from miles to see and listen to living legends like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, George Benson, Jon Hendricks, Ron Carter, Dianne Reeves, DeeDee Bridgewater and many others. If you enjoy ART and History as well as enjoy meeting others that do, Jazz festivals are for you. Jazz Festivals are moving pieces of History, live art that continues to travel from place to place. This August meet me in Detroit for the 38th annual Detroit Jazz Fest where living legends Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock , whom both played with Miles Davis will perform opening night.
